In this silk painting, I have tried to metaphorically depict how external pressure, applied by the bird's beak, leads to the breaking of the egg and ultimately the death of the chick inside. If this pressure had naturally come from within the egg, it could have signified the beginning of life.To set the colours permanently,I used the steam setting technique.
