In this silk painting, I have tried to depict the memory of loneliness during the first month of migration as follows: a woman sitting alone on a large rock, gazing into the distance. The woman sitting in the middle of the water symbolizes resilience. The use of cold, dark, and grey colours gives a more realistic sense of uncertainty and an unknown future. To set the colours permanently, I used steam setting techniques.
The materials used include silk fabric and French acid dyes.
