The butterflies gracefully resting on maple branches symbolize migrant women who have journeyed from distant parts of the world to Canada and found peace. In this silk painting, I underscore this theme by incorporating two eyes as witnesses. To set the colours permanently, I used steam setting techniques.
The materials used include silk fabric and French acid dyes.
