In this silk painting, I aimed to depict symbols such as red roses on the coffin to represent the woman’s endless love for her husband in death. The black gloves and veil symbolize her deep sorrow and grief in the face of this tragedy. To set the colours permanently, I used steam setting techniques.
The materials used include silk fabric and French acid dyes.
